Job Description
My client are currently looking to expand their Customer Support Business and are looking to recruit a versatile individual.
Flexibility on skills will open this position to a trained individual who may have worked in an
Aerospace / Defence/MOD organisation. Working as part of a multi-disciplined team, the Support Engineer, will be involved in all aspects of the Support Business, taking the lead in onsite support, Unit repairs of Radar Sub-assemblies to component level, as well as carrying out Field Services
Engineering tasks, both on and off site.
Ability to understand leading edge technologies Broad and Global view Flexibility

Key Responsibility Areas

* Undertake repairs of Radar Sub Systems to component level
* Set to work Radar systems
* Produce sub-system test specifications as required
* Manufacture Test Boxes and test harnesses
* Carryout Radar system level fault rectification, on site and on customers premises
* Assist System Design Authorities in design tasks
* Manage and communicate issues to senior management
* Champion outstanding customer service at every level
* Deliver agreed performance targets

Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required

* HND or higher in electronics
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Proven experience of fault finding to component level
* Proven experience in Quality Testing and reviews
* Work to schedules, re- sourcing and cost restraints
* Sound Technical Knowledge, with hands on experience in an Electronics discipline
* Experience of the S511 Radar System
* Experience of the Watchman Radar System
* Experience of electronic airfield equipment
* Experience of Radar Systems
* Experience of Electronic Systems Wiring
* Ability to challenge and present at Senior Management

Intrinsic Factors

* Capable of lone working
* Willing to work worldwide including the middle east. (mainly based within the UK with limited travel overseas)
* Flexible working hours
* Travel
* Able to work Airside at airports
* Knowledge of radar systems
