My client - a Defence giant - are looking for an electrical biased Facilities Engineer to join their team in Ampthill. If you have proven practice in industrial electrical maintenance works and have additional mechanical experience (HVAC etc.), my client will be interested in seeing your application.

Job Title: Facilities Engineer
Location: Ampthill, Bedfordshire
Salary: up to £34,000 + benefits

One of the world's largest defence organisations are now seeking a Facilities Engineer to join their team in Bedfordshire for a permanent basis. The successful candidate will ideally be currently DV Cleared or must be able to obtain DV Clearance. We cannot consider your application if you do not meet this criteria.

Job Description:
" Working as a member of the facilities team supporting the facility.
" To carry out routine planned electrical maintenance tasks including F.E.T
" Ensuring site assets met statutory requirements and are maintained in such a manner as to maximise uptime
" To respond to emergency breakdowns across the site for electrical issues. (Including potential for a paid out of hours call out rota)
" To perform unplanned maintenance / repair equipment, machinery, etc. within agreed time limits.
" To work on small projects where required and/or provide technical advice to projects relating to their specialist field
" To identify and if requested order supplies as needed for work.
" Ensure documentation of maintenance activities is accurate
" To be flexible and assist the team to achieve the mutual goals
" Assist in keeping building plans up to date.
" The post holder will follow safe systems of work, taking reasonable care of their own health and safety, and that of others. Eliminating or reducing risks where practicable by complying with site safety rules and instructions and reporting hazards to management for prompt action.
" Such other duties as required by the operational needs of the department.
" Be flexible with working hours

Required Skills:
" Industrial electrical experience (not domestic)
" Latest wiring regulations
" C&G inspection and test

Desired Skills:
" HV
" Complex
" from a service provider (JCI, MITIE, CBRE, EMCOR etc.)
" Experience in comparable industry environment
" C&G electrical engineering
" Formal apprenticeship
" Multi-skilled engineer to cover electrical systems plus an additional trade code i.e. HVAC, A.C, mechanical
