Environment Manager

Lead the environment function for the programme. Adjust and implement the approach established for ensuring appropriate environmental compliance across the programme. This will include making relevant adjustments to and managing the process and environment team to provide assurance that the Environmental Minimum Requirements and other environmental requirements are being complied with by all those delivering the Project.

Lead the environment function for the programme. Adjust and implement the approach established for ensuring appropriate environmental compliance across the programme. This will include making relevant adjustments to and managing the process and environment team to provide assurance that the Environmental Minimum Requirements and other environmental requirements are being complied with by all those delivering the Project.

Effective communication of environmental objectives and EMR within the programme.
Implementation and maintenance of environmental reporting across the programme and input to Sustainability Sub-Committee, Management Review and TfL Safety & Sustainability Panel.
Ensuring that environmental consents are obtained in a timely manner for thel Programme, management of the Schedule 17 environmental consents and management of environmental liaison with environmental stakeholders and environmental statutory bodies during procurement, design, construction, completion and handover.
Representing the Environment function at appropriate Fora.
Provision of environmental support to the Programme (including Planning, Safeguarding, Finance, Delivery, Land & Property, and Corporate Affairs) during procurement, design, construction, completion and handover.
Implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Management System.
Provision of environmental assurance relating to the implementation of the EMR across the Programme during procurement, design, construction, completion and handover.
Definition of responsibilities and management of resources for the environment team to execute accountabilities.
Take reasonable care of your own and others¡¦ health and safety and of those who may be affected in the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working to the Target Zero principles.
Co-operate within all matters relating to health and safety, including following safe working procedures at all times

Delivering to deadline in a dynamic project environment where change is a constant characteristic.

Communicating and delivering on the environmental aspects of the specific consents regime created by the Act.
Dealing with complex relationships with stakeholders, including the presentation of technical information to a variety of audiences.

Ensuring environmental requirements are met as the project draws towards central section handover and many of the delivery contracts draw to a close.

Technical Significant experience in a related environment/planning /development project environment, managing staff, consultants and budgets.
