Job Description

Engine Test Engineer
Commutable from; Milton Keynes, Bedford, Luton, Buckingham, Northampton, Rugby, Daventry.
Salary from; £30,000 - £40,000 + pension

Are you interested in working amongst some of the most technologically advanced engine test cells in Europe? Are you interested in performing numerous test programmes including emissions, development, evaluation, performance and calibration? Are you currently working as either a test technician or test engineer within a similar environment? Read on.

The client is at the forefront of the market for engine development and currently specialise mostly within the automotive sector. Boasting around 27 test cells they are constantly growing and opening new test cells within their facility. With the backing of a multi-billion pound company behind them, they are stable, secure and looking for passionate engineers to join their team.

- Prior background working with an engine testing environment is essential.
- A confident character who can liaise with customers and suppliers alike.
- Usage of AVL, Bosch tools, Cameo, CPCadet or similar may put you at a distinct advantage.
- Hands-on experience of engine strip, overhaul, service and assembly is a must.
- Knowledge and usage of pressure transducers or thermocouples.
- A knowledge of pre-rigging engines prior to installation on the chassis dyno.
- Data capture, analysis and reporting.

Worried that you are not up to this level yet? Do not worry, the client are also looking for a number of Test technicians to operate the test cells. For this you may not have the test experience but have the hands-on engine strip/build knowledge.
