Test Engineers - Hybrid Powertrain
Commutable from; Milton Keynes, Bedford, Northampton, Daventry, Kettering and Rugby.
Salary; £40,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

Expansion, growth and strategic planning for the future are all terms I keep hearing at the moment, things which are exciting to hear and consolidating the future of the UK Engineering sector. The client we are working with on this particular assignment have totally bought in to this and have huge expansions plan in place off the back of some exciting news due to be released to the public over the next coming weeks.

Multiple Electrical Test Engineers are needed as soon as possible to join the clients test operations team. These are permanent positions where you will be responsible for providing engineering specification, implementation and delivery of energy recovery systems and electrical test capabilities and test requests. This will include developing tests from blank sheet through to providing design modifications to the engineering team.

You will currently be working in an automotive setting as a test engineering specialist creating test specifications, writing test procedures, design/build/commission test stands, use LabVIEW/Siemens PLC, perform tests, collect/analyse data before creating a test report on your findings. You will be a knowledgeable individual on electric powertrains and hybrid technology. You may have also spent time testing other vehicular systems and components too.

Skills/Knowledge;

• Previous background in specification, design and commission of test infrastructure to meet test requirements from component to full product scope.
• Demonstrate understanding in control and automation, measuring systems and data acquisition, sensors and actuators.
• Demonstrate understanding of relevant legislation and best practice with regards to electrical safety at work.
• Previous background in the testing and methods used for testing motors, power electronics and/or battery packs.
• Knowledge of AVL Puma/Concerto/LabVIEW would be beneficial.
• An engineering degree is a must, BEng or MEng (2:1 or above).
