Our client consists of three business areas focussing on Vehicles, Special Projects and Mission Support, which provide a variety of products and services to the MoD and other customers including the Warrior CSP, Scout and support to the Land Environment Air Picture Provision capability. Specific Job Description Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Required skills, qualifications and experience
" HND/City & Guilds or equivalent in a suitable technical discipline
" J Standard / IPC 620 certified electrical assembly technicians
" Ability to read and work from technical drawings and schematics
" Soldering and crimping
" Cable terminations
" Assembly of harness boards
" Some basic point to point testing
" Assembly of cables and installation to drawing, schematics and engineering instructions including prototype builds
" Ability to work accurately and with minimal supervision on prototype manufacture
" Teamwork and good communication skills across levels and groups
" Safety orientated
" Systematic disciplined approach
