Electrical Systems Engineer - DVP

A tier 1 supplier have just won a major project from their biggest UK automotive client and are now actively seeking multiple electrical systems engineers to join the team and help deliver the electrical systems architecture for current and future models.

As a systems engineer, you will be responsible for creating concept proposals and developing the designs of the product to support and advise the customer and other stakeholders; investigate and make wiring harness design proposals based on customer's information; take part in VA/VE activities; and be responsible for the circuit development for the customer vehicles.

Skills/Knowledge;

- Previously worked within a tier 1/OEM automotive environment; will also consider people from either the aerospace, truck, bus, off-highway and rolling stock arenas.
- Knowledge and practice of circuit design to provide support in the creation of harness drawings.
- Support of the design verification process (DVP)
- Knowledge and usage of circuit simulation tools such as VeSys, Saber etc.
- Previously worked within a test development role working on electrical systems.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes; APQP, FMEA, QFD etc.

Ideally you will currently be working as either an electrical design engineer with a whole systems knowledge or a test & validation engineer working on electrical systems. You will have good circuit design knowledge and have worked within a vehicle based industry such as automotive, aerospace, off-highway, truck, bus, rolling stock.
