Electrical Integration Engineer - Automotive

Essex, UK

Are you an Electrical Engineer with an automotive background who would like to work on high voltage hybrid vehicle programmes at a facility in Essex? Are you interested in working for a smaller company with an encouraging culture where you can thrive and where multiple hats? If so, read on!

As an Integration Engineer you will be responsible for taking the electrical harness layout and designing the mechanical packaging for it as well as any enclosures for electronic components. With that in mind, you will have a strong grasp of EMC, water and durability considerations for the harness and the associated materials. You will also have a background in integrating electric motors, inverters and batteries. Whilst you will be involved with some CAD work too (Catia/SolidWorks) you will also be customer/supplier facing and be able to create a fully-functional harness.

Ideally, you will be working as an electrical engineer, integration engineer, packaging engineer or similar within an automotive environment. You will have a strong grasp on engineering principles and be able to think outside the box!

About you;

+ Previous background in the packaging & systems integration of automotive harness systems, preferably high voltage!
+ Any exposure to working on hybrid vehicle electrical/electronic systems would put you at a distinct advantage.
+ A strong communicator who can demonstrate their knowledge and liaise effectively with customers and suppliers alike.


+ Ideally degree qualified in an engineering discipline or a significant proven career within the automotive electrical field.
+ A CAD user - preferably Catia/SolidWorks but open to others; NX, Unigraphics, SolidEdge, AutoCAD etc.

£30,000 - £40,000 + Benefits
