Electrical Installation Engineer

Our client is looking to take on 2 installation engineers, one mechanical and one electrical to join their team at their site in Romsey to help them in the production of their new waste to energy conversion technology.

Electrical Installation Engineer
Romsey, Hampshire
37 hours per week

Our client is at the forefront of renewable energy production leading the way with their innovative waste to energy conversion technology, and they are looking for 2 installation engineers one electrical and one mechanical, to join their team and help the business grow.

This role will be primarily based at our clients workshop near Romsey, Hampshire although you may be required to travel to customer sites to provide services, either in the UK or overseas.

Key responsibilities
- Production and fabrication of machine parts, including construction and wiring of electrical control cabinets using schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Working on electrical assembly and fitting equipment
- Electrical installation of machine parts and products, including mains power, communications, PLC, CHP Generators.
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on electrical systems and diagnosing and rectifying any faults
- Providing feedback and design input prototype and R&D projects.
- Providing out of hours on call support as part of a team rota when required.
- Supporting Mechanical Technicians when required.
- Some UK and International travel may be required when visiting customer sites to provide services and assistance.

- Experience working in a similar role
- Industry accreditation or ability to gain accreditation, such as NICEIC, JIB etc.
- Sound experience of electrical fault finding and installation, maintenance and production.
- Experience working with Programmable Logic Controls would be advantageous
- Able to work unsupervised and as part of a functional team.
- Advanced computer skills (MAC, OSX, MS Office)
- Ability to plane and prioritise work to meet deadlines
- Being familiar with standards such as ISO, ATEX, DSEAR and CE would be ideal.
- Confined space, working at heights and access equipment training would be useful.
- Experience working in Oil & Gas or the renewable energy sector would also be advantageous.
