We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Electrical Engineer – Power Supply systems will be responsible for designing and developing all Electrical and power Supply Systems.

We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Electrical Engineer - Power Supply systems will be responsible for designing and developing all Electrical and power Supply Systems.

Position Description:
Working with platforms which are delivering many of most premium and exciting products, including the iconic and the replacement for the legendary Defender vehicle. Power Supply Systems is a Powertrain Department team based within the Electrification Group, responsible for engineering and delivering power supply hardware and systems to all vehicles, with increasing emphasis on BEV, MHEV and PHEV vehicles as part of response to the growing electrification market. These commodities include alternators, starter motors, LV & HV batteries, power electronics and on and off board charging solutions. The Power Supply Systems (PSS) Project Engineer will work for the Architecture Module Leader (AML) and will be responsible for ensuring the PSS systems and hardware are delivered into the various vehicle lines to Cost, Quality and Time. This will include plant support to ensure builds are successful plus liaison with Programme Teams, suppliers and other stakeholders. There will also be the opportunity to develop and lead delivery of model year programmes, including the new programme.

Skills Required:
1) Previous experience of project delivery (not confined to automotive sector, although preferable)
2) self-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision; drive to progress issues rapidly and look for resolution - evidence to demonstrate these qualities.
3) Working knowledge of normal MS Office toolset and project planning tools (MS Project etc.).

Experience Required:
Knowledge / experience of automotive or power electronics commodities and advantage
