Job Title: EHS Specialist, Quality & Facilities administrator
Location: Brighton

Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist:

* Promote and maintain a high standard of Health and Safety culture,
* Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with Government, Corporate and local safety regulations and industry standards.
* Main objective is to maintain a safe workplace, protect the employees, all visitors to the site and the environment.
* Carry out EHS based audits against the Company's and Corporate documented EHS system and subsequently verify that any corrective actions have been effectively implemented.

QA & Facilities administration:
The position also includes maintaining the Company Documented Quality System and associated administration

* Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
* Evaluate & monitor practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to Policies, Procedures and regulatory requirement's
* Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
* Inspect equipment and machinery
* Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes
* Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
* Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
* Arrange Health Surveillance
* Development and review of EHS plans

QA & Facilities

* Documented Quality System: Procedural updates and document control
* General QA administration
* Monitor facilities scheduled requirements and arrange 3rd Party visits
* Contractors work permits, insurances and Project Review Check Lists
* General facilities administration


* Proven experience in EHS
* Good understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
* Worked in an IS09001/AS9100 and Engineering/Factory environment
* Good knowledge of COSHH


* Valid qualification in occupational health and safety, and internal auditing
* NEBOSH certification preferred
