EDS Programme Manager

An EDS Programme Manager is required for the Management & co-ordination of all activities within Programmes to ensure they are delivered on time, to cost & to the required specifications.

Job Description

Job Title: Programme Manager

Ensuring customer satisfaction balanced with the companies European business interests.
Leads and coordinates the whole programme from cradle to grave, ensuring changes are made when
necessary, proposed, communicated, planned, actioned with maximum effectiveness to achieve good customer relationships that ultimately maximise long term profit for Europe.

Financial area of responsibility of this function.

Task Description
To fully understand, capture, agree and deliver customer requirements.
100% Customer satisfaction with the Company's interpretation and delivery of their requirements.
Cross-functional project team coordination and communication lead.
Everyone knows their project-related responsibilities and timeframe for delivery.
Variances against original plan are investigated and dealt with effectively.
Potential issues are communicated in advance to enable pro-activity.
Everyone is well communicated with on progress & all changes that occur or are envisaged using formal & informal methods of communication.
Regular auditing of programme success against multiple targets.
Targets for functionality, complexity, investments, piece cost, weight, warranty, delivery are monitored constantly and deviations are communicated appropriately & dealt with effectively.
Liaison with the customer.
The customer is communicated with on all issues that following internal investigation & review are likely to impact upon delivery of agreed requirements.
Continuous improvement.
Useful records are made of problems that arise during the project and solutions that were implemented as well as any lessons learned, in line with the Company's Quality & customer requirements.

Powers of Signature:
Regulations concerning set authorisation limits which are applicable to certain roles or hierarchical levels.

Education & Qualifications
University Degree min 2nd class or equivalent, ideally in Electromechanical engineering.
Project management qualification (e.g. Prince 2)

Leading/Coordination of cross-functional teams.
Customer liaison on behalf of a company.
Project management.
Technical Knowledge (and Skills)
Excellent knowledge & understanding of various functions within the automotive industry.
Ability to present information effectively to customer and other project team members.
Negotiation skills.
Knowledge of Wire Harness products and understanding of other related products to enable effective cross-selling Behavioural Competencies
Results driven and able to get results from a team.
Excellent decision maker.
Prioritises communication, avoids ambiguity & delivers all feedback appropriately.
Able to prioritise well under pressure.

Language skills
Fluent in English
Other European languages and Japanese would be an advantage

Legally able to work in the UK.
Full Driving Licence and valid Passport.
Able to undertake Domestic and International travel with overnight stays away from home, sometimes at short notice.
