Test Engineer - Durability
Bedford, Bedfordshire

An automotive consultancy are growing in many different areas of their business and are looking for a Whole Vehicle Test Engineer to join the facility in Bedfordshire. At present, they currently offer test and development consultancy services to a majority of the UK's automotive OEM's and (with the increased workload) are looking to modernise, update and expand their already impressive facilities. On top of that, they are really invested in their people and are known for keeping their employees challenged with varied work!

This is a great opportunity to work with the cutting edge vehicles in the automotive industry, this role will afford a proven Vehicle test engineer the opportunity to work with prototype vehicles from leading UK and European Automotive OEM's. If you have a passion for the automotive industry and would love the opportunity to get your hands on cutting edge prototype vehicles then this could be the role for you.

You will be responsible for correct execution of vehicle tests and the appropriate test vehicle issue analysis (root cause) with the objective of optimising timing and quality of test programmes.

" Develop Plans and Schedules
" Prepare & Conduct test
" Compile regular reports on progress & status
" Analyse, document and report test results, present data and root cause
" Validate vehicles against measurable targets as well as conducting subjective vehicle evaluations.

About you;

+ A proven background in corrosion or quality testing preferably on whole vehicle (or on a component and backed up with hands-on whole vehicle knowledge).
+ Testing, instrumentation and data acquisition within an automotive setting.
+ A confident, customer-facing individual - you will be the face of the company and delivering their projects!

Qualifications;

+ Ideally degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
