Rate: £21.70 per hour

We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. As Delivery Engineer we feel this opportunity would be a great move for someone already within the Automotive Industry and will allow you to work in a forward-thinking and market leading business.

Position Description:
As part of an established, motivated and fast moving team, the successful candidate would work for an experienced team leader to help deliver engine commodities across several applications. Delivery scale would be from Concept to Launch with the responsibility of managing the delivery of key engine components into production. The engineer must support all the programme gateways and support all the development milestones. They must also work with suppliers, cross functional teams and resolve issues to ensure a smooth production launch.

Skills Required:
1. Experience of managing the delivery of components from prototype through to production, in a product development environment.
2. Good communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into easily understandable, clear communications.
3. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work with minimum supervision

Experience Required:
1. Self-motivated and adaptable to changing demands.
2. Degree required, Experience of component delivery from initial concept through to production.
3. Experience of delivering components to production with the correct cost, weight and functional attributes.
4. An understanding of engine or powertrain components, a strong understanding of quality tools, such as DFMEA and Robustness studies.
5. Experience of developing and using a DVP to sign of the components, Awareness of manufacturing and assembly processes.

Experience Preferred:
Excellent communication Skills, Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft applications, Degree qualified, Current driving licence.
