My client, a market leading household brand is looking to recruit a highly skilled Project Manager with demonstrable knowledge of the Data Protection Act (DPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Reporting into the Data Protection officer, you will be responsible for the project management of the activities relating to the preparation and achievement for the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This project will cover all business units. You will be provided with access to internal and external subject matter experts so you do not need to be data protection or privacy experts. However, the most desirable candidates will have experience in implementing data protection measures or the management of regulation compliance, e.g. PCI-DSS in an enterprise setting.

The key responsibilities of the Data Protection Project Manager will be as follows:

" Lead the GDPR project team
" Chair the GDPR Steering Group
" Establish the necessary relationships and skills required to achieve this plan.
" Day-to-day monitoring of the project
" Reporting of project progress in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
" Identifying, assessing and monitoring risks, issues, dependencies and change requests to ensure projects are delivered to time, cost and quality criteria
" Assist the business as we undertake a comprehensive review of the GDPR requirements and their impact on our practices and procedures
" Implement plans to ensure and sustain compliance with new regulations
" Engage with stakeholders to analyse business processes that utilise personal data
" Identify areas where changes in processes, procedures and/or systems are required to ensure sustainable compliance with the requirements of the GDPR
