Cyber Security - Network Security Specialist

Gloucestershire / Berkshire / Manchester / Wiltshire


** Candidates must be able to obtain MoD / UK Government Clearance (DV)

ARM Cyber Security are extremely keen and active hunting DV Cleared (SIA) or clearable Cyber Security professionals to join a Cyber Deference organisation at the beginning of their journey, focussed on defending the UK from Cyber Attacks.

We have a number of positions within this organisations and I would suggest if you are interested in protecting the UK, developing, enhancing and improving your skill set then please apply.

The selected applicant will become part of our team to help enhance the security of the UK across several stakeholder sets. You will work to look at new and existing Cyber Resilience needs, and to develop short and long-term resilient solutions.
Your key / core responsibilities with include:

" Conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for enhanced security architecture and infrastructure for a large enterprise security operation.
" Manage enterprise security appliances (IDS/IPS), devices and develop custom signature rules.
" Examine and combat malicious software, suspicious network activities, and non-authorized presence within the network.
" Develop and enhance system security documentation
" Work with the training team to conduct and evaluate COOP and DR exercises and training.
" Develop and manage required system compliance reports and information requests.
" Work with network security deployment team(s) to represent customer on current and future security appliance integration.
" Work with business and technology leads to balance security and functionality requirements.
" Participate in system Certification and Accreditation and processes at the Department level.
" Support and conduct presentations and briefings as required.

To be successful, you should have the following skills, background and attributes:

" A Degree in a related technical field or relevant experience/training.
" Ability to understand and learn technical specifications, system requirements and other application design information as needed.
" Understanding of Network Administration and Network Security.
" Understanding on the difference between Information Assurance and Resilience.
