Job Title: Consultant Modeller
Location: Wiltshire
Salary - £25K-£35K

An exciting opportunity to work for a small niche consultancy, specialising in options assessment and evidence based decision making support on novel and disruptive defence research require a Consultant Modeller to join their close-knit team.
You will typically undertake a series of studies of three to six months each, usually as part of a team of two to four people. A key aspect of any study is the need to understand the options being examined and the environment they will interact with, therefore the ability to work together in order to rationalise and simplify a complex set of factors is essential.
As a consultant you would be required to contribute to the planning, management and delivery of contracts. This will involve developing models, analysis, stakeholder management, leading meetings and presenting results.

Experience and Knowledge

To be successful you will:

Essential:
" Be a STEM graduate (or equivalent)
" Have a proven track record in the development of complex models/applications in Excel/Access/VBA;
" Experience in the full development cycle including requirements capture, prioritisation and development of detailed specifications and designs;
" Be comfortable and confident in presenting to customers or senior management;
" Have some industry experience.
" You must be able to hold and maintain UK Government clearances

Desirable:
" Have some professional experience in a project related environment;
" Have qualifications or experience in cost estimating, risk management, programme management (such as MSP®) or similar;
" Have experience with SQL and web based development.
