Component Test Engineer
Location; Bedford

The market for test engineering is showing no signs of slowing down and candidates with automotive testing backgrounds are being snapped up left, right & centre. This is also the case for an automotive consultancy based in Bedford who are seeking people at all levels in a variety of departments to perform test consultancy for their wide and varied customer base.

As a component test engineer you will be responsible for project managing customer test programmes on electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components. This will involve liaising with customers to define the requirements of their test programmes, creating a functional set of instructions for yourself and technicians to carry out, designing test rigs using industry standard CAD, programming tests using PLC, carrying out tests, collecting & analysing results, drawing conclusions and finally feeding back to the customer.

About you;

+ Prior background in a test engineering environment where you tested electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic components.
+ Prior background designing test rigs for various applications.
+ Automotive background would be extremely beneficial.

Qualifications;

+ Ideally degree qualified in an engineering discipline; automotive, mechanical, or similar.
