We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Component Engineer- Chassis will be responsible for designing and developing all Chassis systems.

Rate: £21.70 per hour

We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Component Engineer- Chassis will be responsible for designing and developing all Chassis systems.

Position Description:
The Project Engineer supports the team to deliver robust, efficient components that meet or exceed performance targets, on-time and on-quality. This means the role requires a high level of detailed engineering design knowledge that can be applied across all platforms, to work with team members and supporting functions, component optimisation and engineering sign off for components. It also requires the ability to project manage suppliers to ensure that they understand and meet our engineering and delivery requirements and expectations. In addition to this there will also be involvement with setting direction for new programmes (through leading the APC function). The Project Engineer will also act as champion for quality improvements, standards creation (where applicable).

Experience Required:
Experience of component design to deliver performance attributes (durability, stiffness, weight, cost) - Strong project management skills - Proven problem solving skills - Ability to drive through multiple tasks to completion - Effective communication at all levels - Degree-level engineering qualification or equivalent - IT Skills - Microsoft software skills, excel, power point, etc.

Experience Preferred:
CAD (Catia) - Advanced MS Excel user (Pivot tables, etc) - OEM Experience - Knowledge of systems preferred (AIMS, WERS, CCR, FIRR etc) - Supplier relationships/management - Knowledge of Chassis Suspension Structures.
