We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. As Component Engineer we feel this opportunity would be a great move for someone to lead specific suppliers to develop their quality performance on Steering Wheels and Tyres components.

Position Description:
Component Engineer to work within the Driveline Group - Engineer components from development to production release, target setting including specs and attributes for new Driveline systems - Liaison with other functions as component engineer, i.e. Service, Manufacturing, Crash Team, CAE - Coordination and population of Excel based design documents + calculations - Set up plan and monitor the project progress both in-house and at suppliers.

Skills Required:
1) Basic understanding of mechanical systems and key driveline components (ie. Differential, propshaft and halfshafts)
2) Demonstrate delivery of FMEA and component tests
3) Able to plan (timing plan creation) and communicate well within the business (ie. Organise and run meetings)

Experience Required:
Degree level education or equivalent in engineering. Engineering experience, with a systematic and logical approach to engineering solutions and applications. Full UK Driving licence & meet medical requirements of testing in facilities.

Experience Preferred:
Engineer with interest and/or experience in Automotive engineering preferably Powertrain. Full UK Driving licence & meet medical requirements of testing in facilities.
