Position Description:
With the imperative of meeting CO2 emissions reduction targets, Hybrid and electric driveline technologies are key focus areas within the Powertrain department requiring versatile Engineers who are comfortable working in mechanical, electrical and systems environments. is actively transitioning from initial research activities into full delivery programmes with the electrification of several platforms The department requires a Component Engineer to support Electric Motor and EDU delivery activities for PHEV programmes. A component Engineer will assist with all mandated delivery activities and support the ongoing creation and introduction of relevant engineering standards.

Skills Required:
1. Design, development & / or delivery experience of a technical nature within the automotive industry.
2. Demonstrated ability in managing complex issues and situations, both internally and with external suppliers, within tight time constraints and delivery of quality results.
3. Proven problem solving and root cause identification skills

Experience Required:
Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical). Design/ development experience within the automotive industry (passenger car or commercial vehicle applications). Needs to be enthusiastic and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a very dynamic environment to challenging timescales.

Experience Preferred:
Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical). Design/ development experience within the automotive industry (passenger car or commercial vehicle applications). Needs to be enthusiastic and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a very dynamic environment to challenging timescales. Systems integration experience with both mechanical and electrical content would be highly beneficial. Previous exposure / experience with Hybrid and/or electrical vehicles also beneficial. Experience in IBM Doors and/or IBM Rational applications would be an advantage.
