Job Description

As a well-known global Luxury Brand, it is paramount that you will fully understand the nature of our products, the relevance of Colour and Materials to the brand, and recognise how trends, global markets and product segment influence the strategy, character and continual development of our wide-reaching C+T portfolio.

You will be owning and become responsible for all creative aspects of Colour & Trim for specified current and/or future programmes. You will define and ensure delivery of all customer-facing finishes in conjunction with inputs from Interior and Exterior Design, Marketing and Programme Office.

Your requirements:
-You will have completed an appropriate degree in either Textile, Product or Accessory design
-Automotive experience, ideally within a design or studio function
-Significant experience of project management and people influencing skills
-In addition to the above, being self-motivated, self-starting with impeccable organisation skills would be best suited

Your responsibilities:
-Agree, define and own the Colour and Trim strategy, customer choice and Content of tasked programmes, working closely within the design team as well as cross-functionally
-Develop a Colour and Trim Design release document that enables the successful communication of our requirements internally to relevant functions
-To request, pursue and collate testing and master sample plaques and parts, submit to lab, liaise with lab and suppliers regarding results, failures and passes.
-Support concept trim and finish feasibility work for any new finish, material or detail
-Set design targets for any new materials or new applications of existing materials
-Ensure C&T specification of prototype vehicles is aligned with Design and Engineering requirements
-Ensure the BOM is correctly set-up in relation to the colour and trim definition of a programme.
-Create and roll out outsourced supplier Guides
-Provide a visual guide for all models and limited edition derivatives that are relevant to the trim shop showing available materials, hard coding rules and stitch lines
-Interface with the NMO department to ensure that all Mastering and production approval is delivered on an appropriate timescale to support programme objectives
-Ensure effective communication of changes to the Launch and Manufacturing Teams
