Cloud DevOps Lead
6 month initial contract
Staines, Middlesex

A fantastic opportunity working on an industry awarded Cloud Programme, for Cloud DevOps Lead with an excellent track record of delivery, achievements and though leadership.

The ideal individual will be a motivated DevOps champion with strong development and Infrastructure as Code skill set, leading own team as well as mentoring across teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Development of Self-Service portals for standardised consumption of environments, applications and infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms
- Champion DevOps, Cloud, Automation, Configuration Management across the org
- Document best practice guidance and input into Cloud TOM
- Leading the DevOps team and own both support and iterative capabilities enhancement

Skills and Experience

Must have:
- Excellent Linux sysadmin knowledge and strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
- Hands on experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure i.e. CloudFormation, S3, VPC
- Puppet expert (Roles&Profiles, Hiera, Module structure, Puppet coding etc.)
- Building and using CD/CI pipelines in Jenkins or similar software
- Experience using SCM (preferably GitHub or Github enterprise)
- Extensive DevOps and Agile methodology
- Obsession with Automation, learning, problem solving & delivering unsupervised

Nice to have:
- Experience in Software development frameworks ( i.e. understanding SemVer)
- Cloud platform and DevOps tooling integration with ServiceNow
- Experience with Azure Cloud Infrastructure
- Understanding of git flow and release cycles
- Experienced using Jira and Confluence
- Experience using Puppet Enterprise
- Container technologies (ie Docker, Stackato)

Qualifications (Preferred, but non-essential)
- AWS
- Puppet
- Any DevOps, Devlopment, Linux, Unix qualifications
