Milton Keynes (commutable from Bedford, Ampthill, Northampton, Coventry, Cambridge, Buckinghamshire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire)
£40-50k

Chassis engineer working as part of the Chassis structures team, the role is responsible for development of structural components within the commodity of member link (Front & Rear suspension members, Rear Beam, transverse links, Fasteners).

Responsibilities:
Development of chassis structures, electronics and ride and handling systems to meet the diverse requirements of the European, Russian and African markets. Our influence extends to all vehicles made for these areas, and all facilities within these areas.
Working in a fast paced, professional environment you will be responsible for delivery of designs to meet the market requirements. Liaising with the ride and handling departments, and global design centre, you will work hand in hand with some of the world's leading component suppliers to realize the targets for Quality, timing, cost and performance. The expectation is that there will be opportunities for European and global travel, to facilities, and supplier production plants.

Requirements:
Engineering degree or equivalent
oStrong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a global cross functional cross cultural environment.
oExperience of managing suppliers in a project environment.
oStrong 1st principle engineering ability, with clear examples of success.
oGood problem solving skills with knowledge of Design Review, FTA and FMEA activities.
oClear understanding of safety related / critical component development in Automotive/Aerospace
oBolted joint experience would be an advantage.
oCompetent with PC applications CAD & MS Office etc
