Chassis Development Engineer

We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Chassis Development Engineer will be responsible to ensure robust technical compatibility within Chassis, across other Commodity groups and with Attributes whilst also maintaining accurate data management e.g. cost and weight. To achieve this, you will need to lead the Chassis team across all functional groups.

We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. Chassis Development Engineer will be responsible to ensure robust technical compatibility within Chassis, across other Commodity groups and with Attributes whilst also maintaining accurate data management e.g. cost and weight. To achieve this, you will need to lead the Chassis team across all functional groups.

Position Description:
Working within Forward Model Architectures, this role is to lead the definition of Chassis content for upcoming products. Key to this is ensuring robust technical compatibility within Chassis, across other Commodity groups and with Attributes whilst also maintaining accurate data management e.g. cost and weight. To achieve this, you will need to lead the Chassis team across all functional groups. You'll need to be comfortable with questioning and challenging to ensure we outline options for new products using robust data to drive business decision making. You will also need to have experience with and be confident in presenting concise data and findings to Senior levels within the business.

Skills Required: Demonstrable ability to manage Projects including:- highly accurate control of data - robust record keeping - interaction with large groups of stakeholders ,Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with ability to apply this to new areas. Ability to present data and findings concisely to Senior levels e.g. Chief Engineers, Chassis Directors, Vehicle Directors.

Experience Required:
Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent Experience of managing projects and interacting with a large team Some Chassis component and systems knowledge.

Experience Preferred:
Further / extensive Chassis component and systems knowledge. Experience of managing vehicle content/programmes within Concept phase. Advanced Project Management experience and/or formal Project Management qualifications. Further wider business experience / qualifications e.g. Finance, Accounting, Strategy, MBA, MSC.
