Position Description:
The Driving Dynamics Stability attribute team is responsible for delivering vehicle stability attribute performance onto vehicle programmes through calibration of the Stability Control and Driveline Control Systems, including Roll stability. This role supports the Stability Lead Engineer in delivering Stability attribute standards. The role entails: approximately 20-25 weeks of the year on overseas test trips, to locations including (but not limited to): Sweden, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Dubai, USA. Working with the Tier 1 supplier to understand the calibration methodology of SCS functions related to vehicle stability, developing skills in parameter calibration of Bosch SCS systems Working with members of the Stability Development team to plan tests, procure parts, consumables, prepare and arrange transportation of vehicles. Subjectively and objectively assess vehicle stability performance in a repeatable, safe manner and meet attribute targets via parameter calibration of Stability Control Systems. Use vehicle based instrumentation to gather on-vehicle data and use software tools such as MM6, Canalyser, Canape, Matlab, Simulink and CarMaker to gather data on system performance.

Skills Required:
1. Ability to deliver on project deadlines and demonstrate they have made a real contribution in their previous roles.
2. Demonstration of advanced driving skills and/or prior experience of proving ground / test track based vehicle testing.
3. Some understanding of Vehicle Dynamics fundamentals

Experience Required:
Ability to deliver on project deadlines and demonstrate they have made a real contribution in their previous roles. Demonstration of advanced driving skills and/or prior experience of proving ground / test track based vehicle testing. Some understanding of Vehicle Dynamics fundamentals (vehicle and system level). Some demonstration of advanced driving skills and/or prior experience of proving ground / test track based vehicle testing. Microsoft package elements Project, Power Point and Excel.

Experience Preferred:
1. Experience in delivering calibration of Stability Control Systems.
2. Experience in delivering calibration of Driveline Control Systems (Torque-On-Demand systems and eDiff).
3. Nurburgring Industry Pool licence would be an advantage.
4. Previous experience of problem solving tools e.g. Root Cause Analysis, 8 Disciplines of problem solving,
5. Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Additional Information:
Candidate will be expected to spend approximately 20-25 weeks of the year on overseas test trips, to locations including (but not limited to): Sweden, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Dubai, USA, Candidate will need to work without supervision and be responsible for the movement of vehicles and owned inventory to and from test locations, Candidate will need to have a flexible approach to work, working unsociable hours at short notice when the need arises, An individual with the ability to prioritise their work load. A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas. An effective team player who supports team members.
