We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. You will be delivering calibration of active control systems (such as active chassis systems or driveline systems), or experience of controller design for new active chassis systems.

We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. You will be delivering calibration of active control systems (such as active chassis systems or driveline systems), or experience of controller design for new active chassis systems.

Position Description:
The successful candidate will have experience in delivering calibration of active control systems (such as active chassis systems or driveline systems), or experience of controller design for new active chassis systems, particularly Active Damper and Air Spring Control, Electronic Active Roll Control & Rear Wheel Steering. The candidate should demonstrate a good understanding of the fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics, and the role active systems have to play in delivering the Vehicle Dynamics attribute. The candidate will be critical to the Driving Dynamics Team in the application of new active chassis technologies, allowing us to deliver 18-21MY programmes. The candidate must have a proven ability to deliver on project deadlines and demonstrate they have made a real contribution in their previous roles.

Skills Required:
1. First-hand experience of Calibration of Active Chassis systems, such as Active Dampers, Active Air Springs, Active Roll Control, Stability Control Systems or Rear Wheel Steering.
2. Expertise in the use of measurement and software tools, such as Canapés, INCA, Analyser, Diadem, Bosch MM6, Mat lab and Simulink.
3. Demonstrable understanding of Vehicle Dynamics, and proven ability to consistently assess Vehicle Dynamics from the driver's seat

Experience Required:
A proven track record in an vehicle dynamics development or system application role Modelling and Simulation experience using Mat lab, Simulink and Carmaker A proven ability to assess vehicle dynamic behaviour A proven ability to use CAN based tools and measurement analysis tools High level driving skills at and beyond the adhesion limit in a range of high and low mu test environments will be demonstrated by having experience of employed in a vehicle dynamics tuning or Stability Control System Application tuning role. Experience will typically including extended test sessions at the Nurburgring, wet handling tracks and low mu winter testing on an ice lake test facility.

Experience Preferred:
Driver training to class 4PG (or equivalent) Degree in Automotive, Motor Sport or mechanical or electrical engineering Nurburgring industry pool training completion via Joe Weber driving school
