Calibration Engineer

Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity within a global consultancy, based in our Shoreham Technical Centre. You will be responsible for calibrating our engine aligned with our leading edge development programmes.

Your requirements:
-You will have completed an appropriate degree, preferably engineering related
-Proven experience in engine calibration development, ideally within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier or a similar consultancy
-A good working knowledge of application tools and EMS strategies is critical to the role
-Significant experience of base engine calibration
-Knowledge of engine emissions control
-A working knowledge of exhaust aftertreatment characterisation and calibration (LNT, SCR and DPF)
-Good knowledge of OBD
-Experience in base engine performance and emissions hardware development would be preferable
-Excellent communication skills are expected as the role will be significantly customer facing. You will be expected to liaise with customers on a regular basis and present the technical status of our projects.
-In addition to the above, some business travel can be expected including customer meetings, occasional on-site development support and climatic testing trips.

Your responsibilities:
-Engine combustion system and air path development in engine test cell
-Development of base engine calibration
-Vehicle calibration for emissions, drivability and OBD
-Engine after treatment development & calibration
