Position Description:
Automation & Optimisation CAE Engineer Suspension System Tuning (SST) leads the design, development and delivery of those Chassis systems that significantly contribute to vehicle dynamics performance whilst delivering customer comfort systems. SST are responsible for active suspension systems, which include Active Roll Control, Adaptive Damping and Air Suspension, and passive suspension systems, such as dampers, roll bars and springs. The vision of the SST team is to increase the use of Virtual Engineering in order to lead vehicle or system programmes with concept simulation, modelling expertise and tools from research through to the delivery phase to JOB#1. This role is critical in supporting the development of an Automated Design Toolset, which will enable robust component and system designs to be generated rapidly. The successful candidate will be develop optimisation methods and automation tools in support of this vision.

Skills Required:
Working knowledge of CAE methodologies Previous experience developing tools or applications for automating CAE processes Previous experience utilising CAE optimisation methods

Experience Required:
Engineering degree. - Ability to deliver operational plans in a highly demanding environment. - Ability to prioritise their work load. - Good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas. - Effective team player who supports team members."

Experience Preferred:
Experience using MBS analysis tools (preferably SIMPACK) - Experience using 1D modelling tools (preferably MATLAB/Simulink or AMESim) - Experience using FEA software tools (preferably Hyperworks or ABAQUS) - Good knowledge of Chassis systems - Catia V5/V6 Parametric Modelling - Catscript/VBA Scripting - Multi-Disciplinary Optimisation Techniques"
