Position Description:
Brakes Design CAE are responsible for concept simulation, modelling and analysis for the Brakes Design team. The role involves analysis of Brakes squeal and judder simulations and could also lead into the development of techniques required to achieve correlation with physical test results. This role is considered to be instrumental for the development of components and systems for new vehicle programmes. The CAE Analyst will be required to support the development of Automotive Components & systems using engineering knowledge and experience combined with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) techniques in order to meet attribute performance targets for the braking system. The CAE Analyst will also support the continual development of tools and techniques which enhance the team's capability and improve the quality and robustness of Virtual models.

Skills Required:
Experience using HyperWorks/ Abaqus to run CAE analysis, summarise results and feedback conclusions to colleagues A sound understanding of Chassis system performance requirements e.g. Durability & Reliability, NVH etc. Experience in the application of engineering skills and able to demonstrate the ability to assess the appropriateness of results and guide the design.

Experience Required:
Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related discipline Experience in the practical application of structural analysis and FEA methodologies High level of drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. Strong and confident communicator - possessing skills to discuss and present design solutions to colleagues, customers and programme teams.

Experience Preferred:
Post graduate research based PhD in CAE-based topic Experience in the field of NVH analysis Experience of using Simpack, CarMaker / other CAE systems Experience in Brakes Engineering, component / system design Experience of Automotive new model activities, concept to launch environment Experience of working to a formal product development management system and using on - line systems for the management of component and system validation and results reporting.
