We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. As CAE Analyst we feel this opportunity would be a great move for someone meet vehicle requirements and functional performance targets and support the cooling system delivery team with detailed system simulations & design solutions.

Position Description:
SVO Powertrain is a developing Department responsible for all SVO performance Powertrain systems. The role is for cooling CAE for SVO Powertrain systems. Key Responsibilities Powertrain 1D cooling CAE engineer. Use 1D CAE to design and optimise engine and vehicle cooling systems (including charge cooling and thermal management/warm up) to meet vehicle requirements and functional performance targets. Support the cooling system delivery team with detailed system simulations & design solutions.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
1) Skilled in the use of 1D CAE methods for fluid or thermal systems design and optimisation
2) Good understanding of fluid flow and heat transfer principles
3) GT-Cool/GT-Power simulation software or similar, e.g. Kula, Flow master, AMESim, Simulink

Experience Required:
Degree in Engineering or Physics - Familiarity with CAD visualisation systems (e.g. Visual Mock-up) - Knowledge of physical vehicle test cycles for cooling system sign-off - Proven relevant experimental capability (powertrain and/or vehicle test) - Experience of vehicle or base engine performance simulation an advantage

Experience Preferred:
F1 or Motorsports experience '- Experience in core engine cooling/charge cooling/lubrication & flow optimisation - Experience in a related discipline such as cooling airflow or HVAC - Experience of cooling system and / or engine heat rejection physical testing - Experience of model correlation to physical test data.
