The highly skilled engineers and technicians at our site in Cranfield and across Europe are responsible for developing vehicles that lead the way in the fields of autonomous drive, electric vehicle technology and crossovers.
Following the recent establishment of a Communications team at our R&D headquarters, we are seeking an enthusiastic, skilled and committed member of the team on an initial six-month contract, with the potential to extend beyond.
As Brand and Communications Officer you will develop and deliver high quality communications from within the R&D organisation for internal and external audiences. You will also support the team to deliver informative and engaging internal communications and activities across a range of channels, aiming to increase the visibility of the product technology.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Reporting functionally to the Brand & Communications Section Manager, responsibilities will include:
" Sourcing and creating engaging editorial content from within R&D for use internally or externally by communications teams across Nissan Europe
" Assisting with the delivery of events/initiatives to promote brand and product/technology communication - working with internal partners as well as external media agents
" Supporting internal communications activity through the creation of content for a range of digital channels and facilitating events for staff
Background and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will possess:
" Proven experience in a communications role, ideally with automotive, consumer-facing or technology products.
" Ability to identify a story and work with a range of stakeholders to develop it to rigid deadlines.
" Experience in other communication channels e.g. written article, video creation, blogs, etc.
" Strong written and verbal English communications skills.
" Proven ability as a "self-starter", with motivation to develop content
" Demonstration of good communication skills, essential for engaging with technical audience and gathering information
" Proven ability to manage work packages, engaging internal and external stakeholders
" Ability to manage a fluid workload, demonstrating prioritization and anticipation
