Job Type: Contract 44 Weeks
Rate: £21.70 per hour

We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. As BOM Engineer we feel this opportunity would be a great move for someone already within the Automotive Industry and will allow you to work in a forward-thinking and market leading business.

Position Description:
Prototype Engine BoM Scheduler. Scope: Validation and Management of Prototype Engine Bill-of-Materials. Core Activities: Lead BoM validation and BoM change management activities for assigned prototype build phases (Drive robustness). Champion awareness and understanding of BoM validation and Change Management processes. Monitor and report-out Process Metrics and Conformance Reports. Collaborate with Engine Build to understand BoM issues and proactively support resolution. Continuous development and enhancement of the Prototype Engine Build Planning process.

Skills Required:

1. Comprehensive understanding of prototype build BoM management principles (operational experience).
2. Working level technical knowledge of automotive powertrain systems.
3. Good systems understanding of GPIRS / WERS / WIPS systems.

Experience Required:
Knowledge of Product Development structure and processes. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, pro-active, demonstrates initiative, with ability to work independently. Good project management skills, thorough and logical approach to issues, good attention to detail. Experience working with cross functional stakeholders to achieve operational effectiveness. Excellent communication skills, PC literate, especially MS Office. Capable of representing department in meetings at all levels with confidence and credibility.

Experience Preferred:
Knowledge of PCS (Product Creation System) and prototype build process desirable. Candidates should preferably be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate discipline.

Additional Information :
Flexible with respect to travel (Gaydon, & Whitley primarily but potential travel to Solihull, Browns Lane). Full driving license.
