Bill of materials & Project coordinator

Bill of materials & Project coordinator to work in close cooperation with the Prototype Properties Leader to deliver robust definition, planning and delivery of Prototypes and Concepts.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
o Responsible for maintaining and updating prototype BOM's with part tracking information gathered from different PMT areas (Engineering, MP&L, Purchasing, and Finance).
o Assist the Prototype Properties Leader and take an active part in the creation of prototype bills of materials / Open to Go documents for prototype vehicle builds
o Work with the Engineering & Purchasing teams to coordinate the supply of prototype and production parts into the business from suppliers both internal & external
o Track parts via the BOM for specific builds using purchase order information (order numbers, timing, quantities etc)
o Change-manage the BOM updating with adds/deletes as they arise
o Raise PCR's or internal transfer requests where required for both engineering and production parts
o Assist PMT areas with expediting purchase requests through various systems both internal & external
o Work with different departments to ensure parts are delivered on time to support prototype builds
o Tracking and resolution of build issues generated during Prototype build activities
o Communicate with Finance to generate reports to track spend against budget
o Assist in coordination of the build and have a sound knowledge of the Bill of Process.
o Provide Build Technician expertise when required
o Working knowledge of Concerns, Containments and management of ECMS
o Confident working with minimal supervision and able to understand and meet deadlines

Qualifications & Experience
o Automotive or Mechanical Engineering Degree or extensive relevant experience.
o Technician experience preferred
o Whole vehicle or complex system programme coordination / management experience.
o Extensive knowledge of product development / creation systems.
o Experience in component design, development and sign off.
o Expert user of Microsoft Office tools particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
o Confident and authoritative presentation skills.
