Avionics Supervisor

A new opportunity has arisen for a proven Avionics Supervisor to join a world leader within the defence & aerospace domain. This position would require an individual who can maintain a detailed understanding of aircraft condition in preparation for scheduled maintenance activities, particularly during the pre-input planning phase. Due to the nature of the work all applicants must be able and willing to obtain SC clearance.

Job Description

Job Title: Avionics Supervisor
Location: RAF Waddington
Salary: Up to £36,500 per annum

A market leading defence & security prime are now seeking an Avionics Supervisor to join their growing team at RAF Waddington. This is a permanent opportunity with a competitive salary of up to £36,500 per annum (dependent on experience) + fantastic company benefits. Due to the nature of the work all applicants must be able and willing to obtain SC clearance.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide avionic systems maintenance advice & support in order to improve the availability of mission capable aircraft in the forward domain. This will require an ability to maintain a detailed understanding of the aircraft condition in preparation and planning for scheduled maintenance activities.

The successful Avionics Supervisor will support the Forward Maintenance and Engineering staff in optimising the aircraft serviceability and mission capability to meet availability targets. This will include providing specialist systems advice in fault diagnosis activities and advising on options to return aircraft to serviceability and optimal mission capability.

Skills Required

* Has in-depth knowledge and experience of Avionic Systems
* Has a proven track record of achievement in a maintenance support role in the forward maintenance domain
* Possesses excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Can develop and manage positive Stakeholder relationships in a complex challenging environment
* Champions continual improvement
* Applicants must be able to hold and maintain UK Government clearances
* To have flexibility with working hours

Desirable Skills

* Has experience of a maintenance support role in the Depth domain
* Has experience of a technical support role in an Engineering Authority environment
* Working knowledge of Logistics Information Technology Strategy (LITS)
