In Glasgow, they specialise in providing solutions for the transport industry (particularly aviation) and they are now seeking an Application Support Manager to join a successful global aviation products team.

What you'll be doing
This is a unique opportunity that sits within the DevOps Team in Glasgow and your remit will be to oversee the provision of an Application Support function, including (but not limited to) Incident Management, Problem Management and Request Fulfilment.

Key activities will include:
Oversee the provision of a DevOps function
Establish, maintain and monitor control processes and procedures for all support and development activity within the team, ensuring that a quality service is maintained
Oversee the design, development, test and deployment of a resolution to the particular business problems
Liaise closely with all internal Design, Development and Testing teams maintaining an understanding of all common processes and procedures
Liaise closely with all stakeholders to ensure that all applications fully enable the Transport business processes; as dictated by Transport Sector management and Industry regulatory and governance bodies

About you
You will be a customer-focused Support Manager, with a background in supporting & developing applications; in-particular Oracle and .Net.

As a Service Management specialist, you will possess in-depth knowledge of ITIL concepts and principles and also have proven experience across the full Software Design Life Cycle (Analysis, Design, Development, Test, Deployment and Support stages)

In-addition to the technical applications support experience, you will line management experience and the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with all levels of staff within the organisation and your customers
