We have an opportunity within a leading automotive client, based out of their Warwickshire head office. As Application Engineer- Driving Dynamics we feel this opportunity would be a great move for someone already within the Automotive Industry and will allow you to work in a forward-thinking and market leading business.

Position Description:
As part of the Driving Dynamics attribute team, the candidate will be will be essential in the creation of three key DNA elements of the vehicle: Steering, Ride and Handling, meeting the exacting targets of the premium sector. The candidate will be responsible for tyre tuning on a range of vehicles, interacting with other physical and virtual tuning engineers both in the UK, and regularly at a variety of overseas locations where conduct customer evaluations and track based testing for the full range of speeds and environments.

Skills Required:
1. Fundamental vehicle control up to limit conditions to allow focus on the performance of development tyres.
2. Appropriate driving licence and capability of both subjective and objective vehicle assessment, data management and analysis.
3. Ability to work in a team, good communicator and flexible approach to workload.

Experience Required:
The applicant must have extensive experience of subjective vehicle evaluation, including limit handling and high speed assessment. Knowledge of vehicle dynamic theory and systems Organizational skills, planning and schedule compliance and implementation. An ability to be self-sufficient in working with processes An ability to build strong cross functional relationships An ability to work with challenging deadlines and be agile and flexible in responding to shifting demand.

Experience Preferred:
Preferable skills: A Degree qualification in a relevant engineering subject. Working knowledge of vehicle dynamic theory and systems.

Additional Information:
Overseas travel may be required. The candidate must be capable of travelling to Europe to test venues at short notice for periods of approx. two weeks numerous times a year.
