Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity within a global automotive OEM. You will be based with us in our state-of-the-art headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire. Within our Aerodynamics teams we are responsible for the development of whole vehicles & to provide direction and support to other functions including Vehicle Dynamics, Powertrain, NVH, Body & Interiors.

Your requirements:
-You will have preferably have previous aeronautical degree or mechanical Engineering degree specialised in aerodynamics
-Experience with Commercial or Open source CFD software
-Hands on experience of physical track and wind tunnel testing
-A thorough knowledge of aerodynamics in a similar role
-Knowledge of physical testing data acquisition and testing techniques
-Strong project management skills
-Have good communication skills
-CAD skills would be advantageous

Your responsibilities:
Along with supporting the aerodynamic development of future vehicles you will be .
-Using CFD tools and physical testing you will perform analyses of external and internal aerodynamic flows to deliver data driven innovative solutions.
-You will develop design features and components to meet the functional requirement of multiple departments including vehicle dynamics, powertrain, thermal & cooling and the design studio.
-As part of the delivery of the whole vehicle attribute you will input aerodynamic expertise in cross functional project teams, ensuring an appropriate level of understanding is provided to allow effective attribute balancing.
-You will write technical reports and present results to a business wide audience.
-You will contribute to the ongoing development of department's capabilities & processes.
