3rd Line Technical Support Engineer
Location: Reading
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + £4,000 car allowance + pension

***You will be working as a 3rd line technical support engineer as part of a team of 8 Engineers, each working shifts. The shift pattern is defined on a 2 week rotation basis 5 days per week Mon-Fri, early shift is 7am-3.30pm and late shift is 11am- 7.30pm***

An experienced 3rd Line Technical Support Engineer is required to provide in-depth, rapid response, high-quality customer support to ensure the continuing functionality of all customers that receive a Managed Service.

As a 3rd line Technical Support Engineer you will be working as a member of the managed service function. Providing technical support on a 24x7 basis to many customers with offices predominantly in the UK but with many European offices and some global clients as well. This will involve the monitoring and pro-active management of various systems (all being remotely based) via secure internet connections. The managed service function operates a shift system of early and lates, and you will also be expected to be 'on call' out of hours for the provision of support (this may involve presence in the office or at customer site.

You must be competent to 3rd line level in the following technologies:
- Exchange up to 2016 (on-prem\Hybrid) - ESSENTIAL
- Windows Server, Clustering Services, Active Directory / federated services
- SQL Administration and Support
- Azure \Private, Public and Hybrid Cloud experience
- Office 365 suite
- Backup exec, Veeam, Cloud backup (ASR)

Ideally you will also hold an MCSE- Messaging or MCSA- Office 365 certification.

You will also need to be a good problem solver with the ability to deal with technical customers at third line skill levels. Technical Consultants are expected to be self-motivated with an on-going desire to maintain their knowledge level at the forefront of technology.
