Permanent
£18,000 - £25,000pa + 18% shift allowance & benefits
Shift-based (day & night) - 4 days/nights on, 4 days/nights off

At their Coventry site, they specialise in military missions/systems & biometrics and they are now seeking a Service Desk Analyst (1st Line) on a permanent basis.
What do they need?

A Service Desk Analyst with 1st Line Support is required, operating on a shift basis and includes providing systems administration support to the Service Desk facility.

You will ensure that all users of the Service Desk facility receive a friendly, helpful, and efficient response and continual updates, until incidents are satisfactorily closed. At present the team is taking up-to 120 calls per day shift.

Day-to-day, you will support a large Biometric Database, ensuring that it remains operational at all-times and escalating issues to 2nd line level when necessary.

What will my background be?
You will be a customer-focused Service Desk Analyst with proven 1st line support experience across large IT Systems.

As a Service Desk Analyst, you will have solid IT troubleshooting skills in order to deal with a wide range of different processes and systems.

Technically, you will be able to support some of the following: UNIX, Linux, Microsoft Windows, Bespoke Identification software, Oracle databases, SQL, Netbackup, LANDesk call Logging and Service Management tool-set

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain SC Security Clearance.
