It was the last gong of the night, but it went to the Serocor Group – the IRP Award for Best Company to Work For (250+ employees).
Rewind two minutes.
Over at table 47, the atmosphere was tense. The best and most beautiful of Serocor and ARM were perched at the edge of their seats – could this be our chance? The evening cruelly hadn’t gone our way and this was the last category we were shortlisted for. All eyes strained towards the stage as the envelope was opened and the winner’s name read out.
The room erupted. Table 47 whooped with joy, ecstatic at this recognition. It didn’t matter that twelve colleagues (count them) invaded the stage to collect the coveted glass star. It was ours!
Joking aside, it’s immensely gratifying that the Group was identified as one of the best recruitment companies to work for, selected from among a shortlist of seven and who knows how many unsuccessful entries – something to be really proud of.
The IRP said: “Serocor Group presented our judges with a compelling vision of how they link their strategy and values. They provided clear metrics, and examples of actions they’d taken as feedback from employees. Their investment in their people was very clear – they identified that by growing their people, they could grow their business. The judges were impressed by their great range of benefits, driven by performance and their use of apprenticeships and volunteering programmes. A very deserving winner.”
To be shortlisted by industry professionals and the REC is an incredible achievement.
“Many congratulations to all of our finalists, each of whom embody Serocor’s values,” says Serocor CEO, Mike Gawthorne.
“It’s not lost on us that people make the company, therefore consider ‘Best Company to Work For’ as everyone’s award. Well done and thank you!”
