After weeks of waiting for the IRP Awards to come around, we finally know who has exhibited excellence in the recruitment industry, according to the judges.
And it was us.
On a winning streak
It’s less than a month since ARM won at the National Online Recruitment Awards (the NORAs). Today, the Group is the proud owner of two more awards, not to mention being shortlisted for a further two.
Serocor won Best Advocate Company of the Year, an award which goes to the business which best demonstrates the REC’s values and code of ethics, incorporating them into everyday activities – owing much to Heather Cracknell and Derek Goff. It was also a finalist in the Best People Development Business Award category.
On an individual front, ARM’s Robert Hingley was shortlisted as a finalist for Best Newcomer of the Year. Considering he’d only been with the company just over a year when the nominations were made, that’s outstanding.
Adam Razzell, hot off the back of his RailStaff Awards win, made it two out of two and was named Temporary Consultant of the Year – just brilliant.
What it means to the Group
These accolades are more than just another trophy in the cabinet, of course. The IRP Awards are the recruitment industry’s biggest and most prestigious event. They are hosted by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation, which is the UK’s defining industry organisation. Of the thousands and thousands of agencies across the country, only the absolute crème de la crème of recruitment are chosen and celebrated.
To put this into context, the REC itself describes an IRP Award as ‘the highest accolade an individual or company can receive in the recruitment industry, and is unique in raising awareness of the positive role models whose exceptional work, and candidate and client care, sets the bar for all recruitment professionals and businesses to aspire to.’
Suffice to say, being shortlisted was a fantastic achievement for the Group; to win two awards was all but incredible.
On a personal note
It’s extremely gratifying to see our colleagues getting publicly recognised for their hard work, determination and passion. Plus it’s fantastic for the Group in terms of reputation and brand awareness.
I’d like to say a personal thank you to Robert Hingley, Adam Razzell, Heather Cracknell, Derek Goff and their respective colleagues and teams. This is an outstanding achievement and I’m extremely proud that the entire recruitment industry can see just how great we are. Well done.
