We are delighted to announce that David James has been appointed as Engineering Sales Director. David will consolidate the Engineering side of the business, consisting of Infrastructure and Built Environment (IBE), Oil & Gas, Marine & Shipping and Vehicle Technologies.
David has worked for the company for five years and brings with him a wealth of experience. He was one of the highest contract billers at Matchtech, reaching £746k during his peak year and was instrumental in setting up Spencer Ogden, which was the fastest growing recruitment consultancy in the world during their first 24 months of trading.
David has built the Oil & Gas business within ARM Specialist Markets from scratch to £1.6m in less than three years. He has introduced a permanent business and brought some of the world’s largest energy and shipping businesses into ARM, whilst expanding across technology, manufacturing, mechanical and construction.

In addition to his promotion, David has also recently been confirmed as a member of the REC Professional Standards Committee. This committee has full powers to investigate complaints against REC members and issue sanctions which may include a reprimand, a compliance order, an inspection at the agency’s premises and ultimately, expulsion from REC.
