Welding QC Inspector - Teesside (Contract Position)

Contract Duration: Full-time, 6 days per week - until end of January

Location: Teesside

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Welding QC Inspector to join a major Carbon Capture project based in Teesside. This role will support ongoing construction and installation activities by ensuring all welding operations meet the highest quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on materials, equipment, and on-site construction/installation activities.

• Verify welding parameters, consumables, procedures (WPS/PQR), and welder qualifications.

• Review and confirm suitability of welding equipment, pre-heating, heat treatment, and repair processes.

• Ensure all inspection and testing documentation is accurately collected, verified, and filed for as-built records.

• Raise and document non-conformance reports where required, and support corrective actions.

• Monitor subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with approved QC/Inspection Test Plans.

• Maintain adherence to Quality Control Plans and ensure all relevant documentation is obtained and properly recorded.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Welding QC Inspector within the Oil & Gas or similar heavy industrial sector.

• Certifications: CSWIP 3.1, AWS, or equivalent.

• Technical Skills: Proven background in welding inspection and Quality Control processes.

• IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft 365.
