The Opportunity
They are currently looking to expand the Tanker division in Dubai with the addition of a Shipbroker specialising in Chemical Tankers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced team within a globally recognised brokerage. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining relationships with owners, charterers, and operators, with a particular focus on chemical tanker cargoes in and out of the Middle East region.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, and operators in the chemical tanker space

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the chemical tanker market

  • Negotiate and conclude chartering fixtures

  • Monitor global market trends and provide timely market intelligence to clients

  • Collaborate closely with other regional and international tanker desks to optimise global coverage

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of fixtures and market activity

  • Represent at industry events, conferences, and client meetings when required

Requirements

  • 1-5 years of experience in chemical tanker broking or a background in tanker chartering, operations, or commercial roles with the intention to transition into chemical broking

  • Strong understanding of the shipping market, particularly tankers or chemical tankers

  • Proven negotiation and communication skills

  • Self-motivated, commercially driven, and team-oriented

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset

  • Willingness to be based in Dubai and travel as required
