About the Role:
ARM are on the lookout for a talented Senior Civil Engineer/Technician to join our clients award-winning Civil and Structural team. If you have a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions and want to take the lead on exciting projects, we'd love to hear from you!
In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the technical delivery of a range of civil engineering consultancy services. From feasibility studies to planning, detailed design, and construction, you'll be involved every step of the way. With expertise in drainage, highway design, SuDS, Flood Risk Assessments, and earthworks, you'll help lead a team of experienced engineers to make sure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
What You'll Do:
- Work on a variety of projects, including housing, commercial, residential, and extra care developments.
- Use cutting-edge design software to come up with innovative infrastructure solutions.
- Manage both public and private sector projects from start to finish.
- Ensure designs meet UK standards and regulations while working within project budgets and deadlines.
About You:
We're looking for someone with:
- A BEng, MEng, MSc, HND, or HNC in Civil Engineering, plus a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in an engineering consultancy.
- Experience producing drainage and highway drawings, design calculations, technical reports, and site appraisals.
- In-depth knowledge of UK planning procedures and relevant design codes (e.g., Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Manual for Streets, and Local Authority Design Guidance).
- Familiarity with technical software like AutoCAD, Microdrainage/Flow, Causeway Live/PDS/Civil 3D, and AutoTrack.
- Experience working with residential developers is a plus.
- A full UK driving licence (preferable but not essential).
