About the Role:

The Energy Division at Advanced Resource Manager is currently looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in a leading Nuclear Defence Business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Task Assignment: Concept creation and development of tooling and processes for a new manufacturing system.
  • Focus: The focus of this task is to create and develop low-level concepts of mobile tooling and manufacturing processes for a new manufacturing system at a low design maturity, with a focus on design justification (pioneering, FMEA, etc). This involves working with existing development teams to ensure that the concepts are feasible and meet the required standards. The work will support the PLM-gated design review process. No work can be downgraded.
  • Deliverable: Concept tooling and processes with supporting design justification.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Design to Manufacture (D2M) experience of tooling or equipment including requirements capture and presenting at design reviews.
  • Experience in PFMEAs (Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis) and DFMEAs (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
  • Experience using NX or relatable CAD software.
  • Knowledge of materials and their properties
  • Knowledge of design, components, tool design, and manufacture
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, MRP/ERP
  • An understanding and application of UK Health and Safety Legislation in a Manufacturing or Production environment including quality standards, best practices, and procedures.
  • Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Continuous Improvement, Quality Tools, and Model-Based Realisation.
  • An ability to produce or assist in the production of Manufacturing Documentation (designs, drawings, reports, specifications, and operating instructions)
