Mechanical Engineer

Advanced Resource Managers are currently working with a leading client within the nuclear industry, who seek a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.

 

ABOUT YOU:

  • You will preferably have an APMP
  • You will have a qualification in the engineering discipline
  • You will be a member of an appropriate engineering institution
  • You will have nuclear experience
  • You will have IOSH Managing Safety

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  1. To have a nuclear safety focus in all activities and responsibilities undertaken.
  2. Use “Conduct of Maintenance” and HU fundamentals as the basis for day to day working practices.
  3. Take an active role to ensure that activities support safe and reliable operation of the plant and maintain full compliance within agreed safety and environmental standards and expectations.
  4. Ensuring that activities are carried out and completed with full regard to site licence requirements, statutory regulations, company and location directives, procedures and safety rules.
  5. Working with others to satisfy business objectives within agreed quality management arrangements.
  6. Ensure maximum contribution towards achieving business need. Undertaking and supporting training and development activities to extend skills and abilities of self and others.
  7. Author/verify of engineering changes to support emergent and improvement maintenance activities.
  8. Provide support to EDF Maintenance team to engineer work requests.
  9. Lead trouble shooting for complex defects.
  10. Support FR Outage to achieve the outage plan targets where required.

LOCATION:

This position is based close to Lancaster however travel might be required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.

SALARY:

This role is a 12-month contract, paying between £40 - £50 depending on experience.

COMPLIANCE:

DUE TO THE NATURE OF WORK WITHIN THIS CONTRACT YOU WILL HAVE TO UNDERGO A CTC CHECK.
