SENIOR HIGHWAYS DESIGN ENGINEER – UK WIDE    – PERMANENT – £35,000 - £45,000 -      (ASISTANT ENGINEER – PRINCIPAL ENGINEER OPPORTUNITIES ALSO AVAILABLE)

Advanced Resource Managers are currently working with a leading civil engineering design consultancy, who are seeking Senior Highway Design Engineers across the UK. However, there are also opportunities for Assistant Engineers, Engineers and Principal Engineers within this sector (salaries and benefits will range dependant on experience and position).

About You:

• You will have a degree or equivalent in civil engineering
• You will have in experience and in understanding of:
  • Highways Design
  • Design Standards
  • Related Legislations
  • Contract Procurement
  • Contract Administration
  • Developing feasibility
  • Preliminary design
  • Walking & Cycling design
  • Traffic Calming
  • Healthy Streets
  • Carriageway renewal design
• You will be able to demonstrate your understanding of Health and Safety responsibilities including CDM.
• You will have good financial and project management skills

What you will be doing:

Within the Senior Highways Design Engineer position, you will:

• Be able to produce 3D highways engineering design from 2D layouts as well as checking the final design/ drawings (AutoCAD) from others in accordance with the DMRB.
• Support other staff with their development, training and technical advice on Highway Engineering projects.
• Communicate with suppliers, clients, contractors, the public and other engineers within the company, all of which will help maintain and gain relationships.
• Complete the design and documentation of civil infrastructure components of projects, including S38/ S278, both preliminary and detailed and drainage design both strategic and detailed.
• Conduct liaison with statutory authorities.

This position is available across the UK including the Southeast, Northwest and Scotland.

This position is paying between £35,000 - £45,000 dependant of experience. However, the assistant engineer – principal engineer position are paying between £25,000 - £60,000.
