Principal Technical Officer (Track)

PRINCIPLE TECHNICAL OFFICER – CENTRAL LONDON – 6 MONTH CONTRACT BASIS – £430 PER DAY

Arm are currently working with a well-known rail company who is currently seeking for a Principle Technical Officer to join their team on a 6 month basis based in Central London.

About You:

For this role you must have the following to be considered:

• You will ideally have or be working towards an NVQ level2 or 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering/leadership subject.
• Level 2 stressing qualification (plain line & S&C)
• To have the good basic knowledge and experience of track renewal or maintenance and construction management process, systems, and standards.
• To have the competent knowledge of design requirements, processes, and techniques.
• You MUST have a DRIVERS license and be able to travel.
• You MUST HOLD A PTS card!

What you will be doing:

In this role you will be expected to:

• You must be able to manage the preparations of work and supply specifications, method statements and plans.
• You must be able to undertake and oversee technical tasks, surveys and design work with undertaking practical inspections, tests, investigations, and analysis of technical data.
• You will need to be able to manage processes and systems for the calibration and certification tools and equipment.
• You will have to prepare specifications and requisitions for materials.

This role will be office/site-based role – London office as based but will require a lot of travelling to sites along the Wessex route.

There will be some weekend working and night shifts required.

You MUST HOLD A PTS card!

This role is a 6 Month contract.

The rate for this position is £430 Per Day (Umbrella) Inside IR35.

We can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this role. Also, as part of the compliance process, a DBS will be required prior to start.
